Workplace and personal wellbeing - Mindfulness

Training in mindfulness over time can limit distracting thoughts, rumination, worry and bring back joy into areas of our lives. Scientific studies have shown mindfulness practice can help us change unhelpful behaviours and live life with more conscious control rather than living on autopilot.
Does your mind take you away to the ‘future’, constantly anxiously planning and organising, or away in the ‘past’ ruminating and worrying about things we can no longer change? These types of thinking can sap our energy and enjoyment of life and work.

Using mindfulness, we can become curious and enjoy the ‘present’, the process and the results of our all our hard work.

Mindfulness can be used to develop skills such as:
  • Distraction control
  • Focus
  • Regulation of emotions
  • Stress management
  • Working with the inner critic

These are essential skills for life but are also vital in high pressure environments. Mindfulness training is an incredibly powerful way to train the mind for self-reflection and change in performance and life.
